Ah, here I go again. Out of my sleeping pills, along with my two other nighttime meds and I am shaking like a leaf and will likely be up all night. I always seem to fall asleep about 1/2 hr before I have to get up, which makes it worse!
It's really hard now that I have suffered seizures from Zopiclone withdrawal, so I am always terrified to lessen the dose. I am seeing my Dr. once a week to try and work on this. However, in addition to worrying about seizures, I also get terrible rebound insomnia.
Ah well...

Comment by Carrie The Insomnolent Hermit on November 14, 2011 at 6:25pm Hey Sid,
Hope you got some rest last night. I actually found that Melatonin was working to help me fall asleep, but we had a crazy hail and windstorm and I kept picturing our mobile home being torn away like I was in The Wizard of Oz, lol. Sidenote: I actually hate that movie! But I managed some dismantled sleep. Have a good day, and I will talk to you soon!
Comment by sid macwithey on November 15, 2011 at 1:21am Yea I managed to get some rest last night I've had a busy four days Going to a wedding went to a club the night before then stripping and waxing a floor then yesterday Some yard work and remodeling the house So I managed to crash from sheer exhaustion which was good.Haha Hopefully noone goes after you're dog and you'r little red shoes Hahahahaha.Melatonin use to work great for me What mg are you taking the 2 3 or 5 For some reason my body got so use to it after a while that I had to take 4 of the 5 mg To get tired but thankfully its natural so it had no bad side effects but I had to stop taking them Because i was running through the bottle too quickly for me to save up andget a new one well i hope everything is going fine hope to hear from you soon

Comment by Carrie The Insomnolent Hermit on November 15, 2011 at 1:36am Hi Sid-that DOES sound like a crazy few days. Sometimes sheer exhaustion is the only way. I took 5 of the 5mg Melatonin and then four more later. It takes a lot-usually some gravol or something on top of it. But I had gone a couple nights with very little sleep, so I think I just winked out, too! But yes, I just burn through the bottle and it also gives me nightmares. Though it is natural, you have to be careful if you are on anti-depressants. Especially SSRI's (like me). Sometimes there can be a contraindication between them, but it is definitely one of the safer ones, but I agree...like anything I take for insomnia, it stops working very quickly.
Hope all goes well for you, my well-spoken and lovely friend!
Comment by sid macwithey on November 16, 2011 at 1:52pm Hey carrie Hope you have managed to get some sleep in the past couple days I send my best regards and hopes that you have managed to find rest and peace of mind. But yes I agree when I was taking any type of sleeping medication even all natural such as melatonin With my anti-depressants It would either keep me up up up and absolutely bonkers Or give me horrible nightmares to boot Which in my opinion was just as bad as not sleeping either you're jolting awake in the middle of the night And the next day feeling like absolute crap or taking so much of the medication you could not wake up and basically being trapped in you're own head. But I agree that melatonin is alot safer then what they have out of there because of the all natural ingredients but it sucks when you find something that actually help you fall asleep its like you're body is going Whaaaaaaa!!!! You're trying to sleep Hell no BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA I will fix that......Or not Hahahaha. But I hope everything has been going slightly better for you since we have last spoken And once again I sned warm wishes and best regards for you're peace of mind but until then My friend I bid you adou
