FREE social network, chat and support for people who can't sleep: insomniacs
So here it goes. Another rough week last week. A series of important events and work meetings were made harder by my in ability to sleep. Early morning meetings with my boss were made worse the fact that I had only managed to catch 2 or 3 hours broken sleep the nights before at best. My head couldn’t compute details and numbers and questions being asked. I drank lots of red bull and coffee to stay awake and somehow made my way through, but it was a living nightmare. So many times I considered just walking out, going home, turning off the phone and trying to sleep.
The only benefit, and where my insomnia came in handy, was on Thursday we had a works do. Some of the guys wanted to carry on after and we went clubbing. And I, as the oldest one of the group, was the only one still going and not knackered at 2am in the morning and the only one up at 7am the next day and in work fresh and feeling good. At times like that it is good to me an insomniac. We have learnt how to spend an entire night with little or no sleep and still manage to clean up and look presentable for work in the morning.
Those that are finding it hard to find someone to chat to on the instant chat why not start a blog or insomnia diary of your own. Doesn’t have to be every day, I certainly can’t seem to manage that lol, but will give you chance to express yourself and your feelings regarding your insomnia. It may also encourage people to contact you and start discussions.
Best regards
