Permalink Reply by Carrie The Insomnolent Hermit on January 9, 2012 at 8:19pm Sounds like something from the valium category, because of the "azepam" on the end. I take a similar drug, oxazepam at max dose, along with a handful of other Rx meds and I have learned that some people just metabolize things differently. What would take down the average elephant is barely enough to keep my anxiety at bay. Be careful with sleep aids, especially of the benzoidiazepenes, which it sounds like that one is, because your tolerance will build up quickly, resulting in a necessary higher and higher dose, and eventually withdrawal that is excruciating. I am at that point right now, and may have to be in rehab for several months. Insomnia is a cruel, cruel joke.
Best of luck, and definitely be honest with your Dr. if that dose is not working for you.
