I love my cat, she's my baby! She is like me, awake at night, asleep in day, or sometimes vice versa.

i love my babybooy snowy too

My last cat passed away last year :( Miss her dearly. But treating them as if they were people is weird. Sweet! ...but back away weird. There is a word for that kind of behavior in psychology, cant remember it, but yeah...you have a word. RIP Yenga xxx

sorry about your loss why weird? nothing wrong with loving a pet and treating them special

She was very small and a little stupid but very affectionate. When she was a kitten if you dangled string by her face she would bat it around like crazy and she got so excited when you took it away she didn't notice for a few seconds and just continue to bat the air then slowly stopping. SO CUTE!
Ok treating them special is fine, when you say treating them like your children it sounds like you make them a place at the dinner table and give them their own room lol. Even if you do fair play.

Yes I do treat my Maisey like my little daughter lol...I really do love her...she is my life right now....and my companion.....

I love cats which is why I picked this name. I love my cat Frodo (that's not him in the pic tho.)

my baby flo, she's my best friend,

As per request. here's a picture of my cat, Frodo

Not the best picture, but maybe some time later I'll post a better one.

lol. i don't have a cat of my own, but my roomie's cat loves me and i love him as well. lol. won't get off my shoulder when i get home.

Rachel, there is nothing weird about treating cats like family as long as you are respecting that they are a different species. Some people anthropomorphize to the point of dressing them up and humiliating them, which is not enhancing the bond at all. I was a veterinary nurse and witnessed amazing bonds between human and animals which can't be explained by science, but is something very special. I have five cats, which I had not planned on, lol, but I do love them dearly. I think animals help us through difficult times and bring out sides of our personalities that we may not have experienced otherwise.

Having trouble uploading pics, but from oldest to youngest I have Jasper, Willow, Mr. Furley, Emu and Myrtle. They are all very dear to me and my oldest one is about 17 so I worry about losing her.

That's Emu, Then Willow,  then Jasper. PS-I adopted Emu to try and help him lose weight, but no dice. He's over 30lbs!! He's a very large cat all over.
